Specialized all-Slovak Museum oriented on nature protection and speleology of the Slovak Republic includes 4 expositions. The exposition Protected Nature consists of two parts - Protected Fauna that represents individual biotopes including protected fauna species, and Flowstones devoted to samples of flowstone decoration. The exposition Protected Flora presents history of nature protection, national parks, and protected landscape areas in Slovakia with emphasis on plant kingdom specifics. In the exposition Karst and Caves of Slovakia there are exhibited speleological, ethnographical, historical, and archaeological collections. The exposition Minerals – occurrence, utilization, protection is focused on minerals as well as semiprecious and precious stones from all over the world. The Museum also realizes exhibitions and lectures in connection with nature protection and speleology. The library and archive belong to the Museum as well.
